Forever Between There the two of us, Standing at the end of the train. It's not enough to just know your presence, have to feel . you too Your gaze fixes on the train track; i rest my chin on your shoulder. You my right hand in yours when the momentum overpowers us. The train moves forward, and in front of us, behind the reflection of us on the window, each section of the track: briefly illuminated, then downed by the dark as if we dreamed of the connection. [21:37, 09/10/2022] Faith:  Sea, Swallow Me I took a walk to the beach tonight. I wouldn't call it a beach necessity; It's more like a land of space (or a space of land), slightly elevated, untouched and at most caressed by the ocean, littered with rocks big and small, hidden between small hills. (or cliffs), I do not know, but I had to descend of stairs, flights wooden boards half-buried in soils, before I could play the burlanding game of stepping from one rock to another where a slip would  But I did not slp. spli...

Misconceptions of what represents writing

https://themillions.com/2022/08/culture-shock-reassessing-the-workshop.html   In contrast to the “pit self,” Jen explores a notion of self that is far more prevalent outside the Western world, the interdependent “flexi-self” associated with collectivistic societies. In this case, the boundary between self and world is “nowhere near so absolute. It is, rather, porous and fluid—a dotted line.” It would only be natural that this latter sense of self would inform the writing traditions of those countries. And so, the American workshop can be encouraging or stifling depending on one’s background. Because, as Salesses argues, the workshop is all about societal expectation. Being so firmly founded in cultural norms and ideology, it will not promote artistic rule-breakers or genre-defilers. Being grounded in the social expectation of writing causes a stagnancy in the different forms that could have been explored. In this manner, the writers that advocate and/or conform to the standards of ...

The only way to do the job was to follow through your approaches towards   reaction and behaviour. Perfection does not have children The loss in perfection in two ways: 1. The story of the perfect pot (quality versus quantity). Experiencing more and being involved in the work helps more compared to thinking, the story of 10000 hours.   2. Perfection in the sense where there is no room for improvement. It is better to be “perfect” in the way of accepting your own deficiencies in your expertise and learn to utilise your strengths and experience adequately to give maximum weight. “Freedom to believe means the freedom to believe the wrong thing, after all. KOOLHAUS Architecture

External big picture. Who constructed? Location? ‌The house constructed by DIA – Dittel Architekten blends into the context of a historical country estate dating from the Middle Ages. located in a rural setting in South Germany, which is characterized by natural areas and agricultural land Position? Why so? How does it fit? ‌The new building is positioned orthogonally to the historical barn and to the road on the estate, so that it fits in with the alignment of the existing courtyard buildings. The architects also took into account the natural topography and the avenue driveway leading into the estate, which also stands within this geometric context What does the structure represent? What elements are included to make the space? ‌Constructed as an independent modern building, the new structure also respects the traditional architectural language of the surrounding buildings. Consideration was explicitly given to the homogeneity between old and new. This dialogue manifests itself in the...

The Broken Mirror

The Broken Mirror A BY  ADRIAN SEARLE  IN  REVIEWS  | 05 SEP 93 Painting goes in and out of focus. Sometimes it is invisible, but still it’s there. Arguments against it are largely a matter of theoretical opportunism or fashion and fashion, though fun, is piffle. With the theory (the theory of your choice) you can substantiate or denigrate anything. Theory gives you something to think about while you’re making art, and stops you getting anxious when you look at other people’s. For many, theory becomes a substitute for thinking, and declines into dogma, at its worst, a dogma with totalitarian tendencies. At least, that’s my theory. Painting occupies a mysterious position, and continues to exert a peculiar fascination, and it goes on, despite, and also perhaps because of all the attacks upon it.   Curated by Kasper Königh and Hans-Ulrich Obrist,The Broken Mirroris a big painting show with a fat catalogue (In German, with no available translation). Why paint...

The trunk
