But there is also a deep hatred coiled from the call to avenge his ancestor’s blood, spilt in a muddy rage and desperation in a fight for his small piece of land that toiled him to the bone in every single waking moment — for his wife, and three sons

He lives embodying the pride and stature of a Samurai — which would have cut him down without hesitation, In this state, he carries a keenly sharpened mind, double edged, as it is guarded between conflicting ideals.

Technically bredlik is four lines (two rhyming couplets) in iambic tetrameter, or two stanzas of four lines each in iambic diameter with an ABCB rhyme scheme. The other thing that bredlik has going on is that the original poet took inspiration for the poem not only from the incident but from the fact that it happened in a re-enactor setting. So he used 18th century spellings (or reasonable facsimiles thereof) for some of the words.
